Dear Parents,
Some of the most important decisions you will make are about your child's education. You want your child's school to meet the same goals of high academic achievement you have set. You may want your child's school to reflect the values of your family and community. In other words, you want to choose a school that is a good fit for your child. In an increasing number of communities in Florida, you now have the ability to do so.

Charter schools are tuition-free public schools of choice and can help give every child an excellent education. They are not bound by all the rules and regulations of districts and thus they are largely free-to-innovate in terms of their curriculum, their schedule and their staff in return for a commitment to higher standards of academic and financial accountability.

Some charter schools include themed learning approaches focusing on areas such as arts, sciences, and technologies. Other charter schools provide services to special populations such as students at risk of academic failure or students with disabilities. With the growing trend of charter schools in the state, you are sure to find the right school to suit your child.

A new tool has been developed that makes it easier for you to support equitable funding for charter school students.    Please visit http://www.supportourcharterschools.com/ and provide your name, age, email and zip code.  With this information, an email will be sent to your legislator, expressing your support of our efforts to equitably fund public charter school students.    We ask that you share this message with interested parents, teachers, and charter school supporters as well as share the link on your website and social media outlets, urging others to join the effort to advocate for equitable funding for Florida’s public charter school students.
